Congratulations to everyone at Facebook! Facebook’s deal with Microsoft values the company at $15b and gives MS significant ad leverage in the social networking space vs Google. The ad deal so far with MS has been underwhelming thus far, but now that FB focusing on it we will raise our expectations. I’m most interested to watch Google compete for ads within apps. Installation is Obsolete
I have generally stopped installing Facebook apps, mostly because it’s not worth the clutter and trouble if I end up not using them. Aside from the various clicks necessary to do an installation, I also have no idea what the privacy settings should be before using an app, and am loathe to let apps have sandboxed reign over my profile, email and feed.
