Congratulations to everyone at Facebook!
Facebook’s deal with Microsoft values the company at $15b and gives MS significant ad leverage in the social networking space vs Google.
The ad deal so far with MS has been underwhelming thus far, but now that FB focusing on it we will raise our expectations. I’m most interested to watch Google compete for ads within apps. The better targeting technology will be most apparent here, as app developers are less bound to complex deals with ad networks and can therefore change their providers more easily.
